Non-native species
Species of plants or wildlife that are not native to a particular area and often interfere with natural biological systems. In extreme cases, non-native species eradicate native species through growth and other chemical means. As an example, the beautiful blue Chicory (Cichorium intybus) is a non-native noxious plant in Boulder, Colorado. Each plant produces 3000 seeds per year enabling it to take over all other nearby species.
